  • Physical Education/Weightlifting Teacher

    Position Overview
    1. The physical education/weightlifting teacher has the mission of integrally forming students (academically, humanly, spiritually, and apostolically) assigned to his classes.
    2. The physical education/weightlifting teacher has the responsibility of providing a high quality physical education program at the school. He/she implements the physical education/weightlifting curriculum. He/she encourages, assesses, monitors, and records the progress of individual students.
    3. Recognizing that physical education is a means of forming character and exercising Christian virtue, the physical education/weightlifting teacher contributes to the integral formation of students by: fostering a love of learning, cultivating their appreciation for a healthy lifestyle, and teaching them the value of concentration, perseverance, self control, teamwork, and healthy competition.
    4. The physical education/weightlifting teacher creates and maintains an effective learning environment for his students. He/she must assimilate and practice the ideals, principles, and teaching methodology of the school. He/she must carry out his work professionally with a spirit of initiative, creating an environment of safety, confidence, and respect.

    1. The Substitute Teacher is accountable to the Principal or Assistant Principle The Substitute Teacher is responsible for providing classroom coverage for a teacher who is absent.
    2. The substitute works the regular hours of the absent classroom teacher during his/her absence. Including but not limited to lunch, carpool, after care duties.
