Welcome to Pinecrest Academy

We believe that a complete education must address the formation of both the student’s mind and character. The rich content of our liberal arts-based curriculum allows our students to discover the world around them, think critically about it, and meet the challenges of life. By implementing the pedagogy of the Legionaries of Christ and the Regnum Christi Movement, which includes a diverse athletics program and a rich experience of the fine arts, our program of personal formation in the Catholic tradition cultivates the character and personal development of our students in parallel with their academic development. The end result is a complete human being who actively seeks what is true, possesses the tools to discover it and the integrity of character to put it into action.

Pinecrest Academy was named #2 Catholic High School in the State of Georgia by Niche.com and has been designated a 2014 National Blue Ribbon School by the United States Department of Education, the only PreK-12 in the State of Georgia to receive this honor. The school has been recognized for the eleventh consecutive year as a School of Excellence by the Cardinal Newman Society Catholic School Honor Roll. Pinecrest is one of just two Catholic high schools in the State of Georgia to receive this honor.

What parents and students are saying:

"My husband and I always knew we wanted a Catholic education for our children, but we never dreamed we would find a school that embraced the family as a whole.  There are tangible ways that Pinecrest Academy has made us better parents, from seminars to social events, all while our students are thriving with teachers that know and love them as individuals.  Pinecrest Academy makes it easy to have meaningful conversations about virtues in a complicated world and allows kids to be kids just as long as they can." - Karen Kress, Pinecrest Parent

"After visiting and researching numerous schools, we are so happy to have decided on Pinecrest Academy. The environment, culture, and community have been warm, welcoming, and supportive, and the teachers, staff, and ministry have become like family to us. We have seen our daughter develop in her character, studies, and faith, and we continue to be excited by her growth into a Christian leader." - Chris and Patty McHugh, Pinecrest Parents

"I have been at Pinecrest since Kindergarten, and I love how tight-knit the Pinecrest community is. I have close relationships with all of my teachers, past and present, my friends and even coaches. Pinecrest is an amazing school because there is love everywhere around you and you can grow in your faith." - Elise, Class of 2027

"I love going to Pinecrest and am so happy my parents let me go there.  I have made a lot of friends there and the teachers and Priests are very nice and helpful.  My mom got to coach me in soccer and my dad got to coach me in basketball there.  Now I play volleyball with Coach Meyer and tennis with Coach McGraw and it is so much fun.  I also love the program called ECYD that is a girls program that talks about GOD and we have retreats and fun things we do together." - Sophia, Class of 2026
