It is hard to believe that we are in the final stretch before the Class of 2022 turns tassels and becomes a new class of Pinecrest Academy alumni! Here is some important information about Graduation and Baccalaureate, as shared via email by Mrs. Hendricks.
Graduation Practice and Yearbooks
Graduation practice takes place on Friday, May 20 at 1:00 p.m. in the Upper School Gym. Students are welcome to wear casual attire for practice. After practice, they will receive their yearbooks and can take time to sign them in the Gym or Amphitheater.
Baccalaureate Mass - Friday, May 20
The Baccalaureate Mass will be held in the Upper School Gym and begins at 7:00 p.m. Doors open at 6:00 p.m. for parents and guests. Seniors need to arrive by 6:00p.m. Parents have reserved seating. All other seating is first-come, first served. Seats will be reserved for handicap guests - seating is first-come, first served for these seats as well, so please only use the handicap seats for those who are mobility impaired. Handicap seating is on the end of each general seating row, closest to the Gym doors.
Graduation - Saturday, May 21
Seniors need to arrive for graduation at 8:15 a.m. Please make sure your child has his/her cap, gown, tassel, and honor cords and that the gown is free of wrinkles. Bryan White will be taking a class photo prior to the graduation ceremony, so make sure your child arrives on time to be in the photo!
Graduation will be held in the Upper School Gym and begins at 10:00 a.m. Doors open at 9:00 a.m. for parents and guests. Seating follows the same procedure as outlined for the Baccalaureate Mass. The ceremony typically lasts 1-1/2 to 2 hours. Families will want to move quickly to the Semper Altius Arch at the top of the Amphitheater to watch members of the Class of 2022 walk under the arch as Pinecrest graduates!
Reception Information
Chef Harwell is preparing a lovely reception for graduates, families, and guests. The reception begins immediately after the graduates pass under the arch. All are invited to enjoy appetizers, finger foods, and cake and stay as long as you wish.

Information Request and Important Messages
- Something new we are adding to Graduation this year is a prayer intention for those who lost family members during their senior year. Please email Mrs. Hendricks with the name of your loved one so that we can add their name to the prayers of the faithful to be read during the Baccalaureate Mass.
- Parents are reserved two seats at both events. If you have not already reached out, please let Mrs. Hendricks know if you have a special circumstance where parents need to have separate seating, or in the case of remarriage, if you will need two sets of seats.
- Please read this important message from Mrs. Bohn regarding dress expectations for both events.
Senior families -- please see Mrs. Hendricks’ email for more details!
