Fifth Grader Makes a Splash at State Meet

Aiden won 1st Place in the 50 backstroke and 3rd in the 100 IM in Middle School Boys Swimming! Coach Mobini says, “He’s a talented swimmer with lots of potential for the future.”

 

Interestingly, his mother says Aiden hated the water as a young child. He eventually learned to love the pool at summer camp. In 2021, he swam in his neighborhood league and won the Best Backstroke award. In 2022, he joined Swim Atlanta and will be on three teams this season.

 

Aiden has been to several Georgia State Championships and will compete soon. His PR for 50 backstroke is 32:85. The State Championship cutoff for 11-12 for the 50 backstroke is 32:99. He just turned 11 in January!
