Middle School Baseball Team Ends Season as Runner-up in District

The Middle School Baseball team finished their season on Monday, May 2, as the GAPPS District I State Runner-Up. The Paladins had a remarkable season, finishing 8-4 and winning 7 games in a row on their way to the State Championship game. Despite the final result, the boys have so much to be proud of. They consistently improved each game and competed to the best of their abilities. A special thank you to everyone who came out in support throughout the playoff run and created a very enthusiastic atmosphere.

The Middle School Baseball team won their semifinal game over Peachtree Academy and advanced to the GAPPS District 1 State Championship game! The Paladins displayed a strong offensive performance by putting up 11 runs in the first inning. Jackson Bryan, Joe Piszczek, Hunter Bolt, Jake Miller, and Andrew Rice all drove in runs to give the Paladins an early lead. Maverick Mulloy and Jacob White hit back to back triples to add on 3 more runs in the second inning. Jackson Bryan scored the final run of the game in the third inning after doubling and later scoring to give the Paladins a 15-0 victory. Jacob White and Andrew Rice combined for a dominant pitching performance allowing 0 runs and striking out 9 batters.
