“Out of the Box” California Pizza Kitchen Art Show
Pinecrest's Visual Arts students drew a crowd to the California Pizza Kitchen "Out of the Box" Art Show on September 12.
This Art Show, which has become a tradition, was the brainchild of Mrs. Stone, High School Art Teacher, several years ago, when trying to think “outside of the box” in creative art projects for her students. Thanks to the collaboration of California Pizza Kitchen, this unique Art Show was born!
Art students from a variety of Mrs. Stone’s classes, along with a few alums, put their creativity to work, producing amazing pieces from pizza boxes that were truly “out of the box!”
Mrs. Stone thanks all volunteers who made this event possible. Thank you to Mrs. Luisa Figueredo-Calderon, Mrs. Bonnie Kieffer, Mrs. Michelle Lynch, and Mr. and Mrs. Donnelly for helping with setting up the event and transporting the displays. In addition, thank you to Mrs. Kelly Gore for judging the event and Miss Erin McGraw for announcing the awards. It was a wonderful night to celebrate the artistic achievement of student artists.
