Empty Bowls Initiative Supports Soup Kitchen at Shrine of Immaculate Conception

Pinecrest’s National Art Honor Society is participating in the Empty Bowls initiative, helping to fight hunger in our communities.
Students, faculty, staff and parents have been making beautiful handcrafted stoneware bowls, under the direction of High School Art teacher, Mrs. Stone. The Art Society will host an Empty Bowls Dinner on Thursday, November 9, and Saturday, November 11, from 6-6:45pm in the Upper School Gym. All are invited to come and choose from a selection of these unique handcrafted bowls and enjoy homemade soup or chili in them! The suggested donation is $10 for each bowl. Participation in and donation to the Empty Bowls project will serve as admission to each evening’s performance of The Music Man.

All proceeds from the Pinecrest Empty Bowls initiative will be donated to the St. Francis Table at the Shrine of the Immaculate Conception Soup Kitchen in Downtown Atlanta.
