Who’s in Charge: You Or Your Child?

Pinecrest Academy presents an evening with New York Times best-selling author, Dr. Leonard Sax, on Sunday, September 17, from 6-8pm, in the Upper School Gym. This talk may be THE most important talk you attend this year.
Leonard Sax MD PhD is a physician, psychologist, and author who has built an international reputation as an expert in child and adolescent development. He has spoken at schools, college, and communities internationally, and has been a guest on Today, CNN, PBS, Fox News, NPR and the BBC. He is the author of four best-selling books: Why Gender Matters, Boys Adrift, Girls on the Edge and The Collapse of Parenting.

In his presentation, Dr. Sax will offer evidence-based strategies for effective parenting, and describe some of the challenges facing parents in 2017.

He will answer questions such as:

“At what age is it okay for a child to have a smartphone?”
“How much should I know about what my daughter is doing on Instagram or Snapchat?”
“How much time spent playing video games is too much time?
“What’s causing my child to be anxious?”

This PAPA-sponsored event is free and open to the community. Invite family and friends! For more information on Dr. Sax’ talk, please contact Kathleen Nichols at knichols@pinecrestacademy.org.
