Kate O'Rourke '22
Upon completion of her Bachelor of Science in Nursing this May from Georgia College & State University, Pinecrest alumna, Kate O’Rourke ’22 will be starting her career as a new graduate nurse in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta.
Kate completed a Student Nurse Externship in the FCC/Mother-Baby Unit at Northside Atlanta Hospital, allowing her to learn how to provide high-quality compassionate care to mothers and their newborns.
Kate has been an honors nursing student throughout her time at Georgia College, maintaining a 4.0 GPA every semester, earning a perpetual spot on the President’s List.
“I could not be more grateful to my friends and family who have supported me throughout my journey in nursing school, and I am optimistic for what the NICU has in store for me,” commented Kate. “I am forever grateful for the opportunity to care for the smallest, yet most resilient, population!”
