Stuff the Truck: 17,754 Items Donated

Our Pinecrest Academy community really came through for our local neighbors in need this year. Our "Stuff the Truck" food drive ran for two weeks in November 2025 and brought in 17,754 items for donation to the St. Joseph’s Food Pantry at St. Brendan Catholic Church.

The goal for all three schools was to collect 30 cans per student. As it turns out, we collected 34 items per student, from PreK3 through 12th grade!

School and grade-level competitions were particularly inspiring! Our 4th grade was on fire this year, bringing in 90 items per student, and 5th grade wasn’t too far behind, bringing in 76 items per student!

Kim Payne, one of the women who runs the Food Pantry, said that they didn’t know what they would do without Pinecrest Academy. Our donations supply the pantry with food for 6-7 months, and they are always so appreciative of our school’s commitment to the pantry each year.

A big thank you to our families, our students, our faculty and staff, and to the incredible team of moms who helped sort food in the Lower School.  A special thanks to Karen and Mike Gann, who coordinate the collections and orchestrate the trips to the pantry each year.
