Kate O'Rourke '22
Kate O’Rourke, an honors Nursing Student at Georgia College & State University, accepted a Student Nurse Extern position in the FCC/Mother-Baby Unit at Northside Hospital-Atlanta. In this position, Kate will be able to grow in her skills, deepen her understanding of this unique clinical setting, and learn how to provide high-quality compassionate care to mothers and their newborns.
“I am honored to continue growing in both a personal and professional capacity in such a rewarding field,” says Kate. “It’s been my dream to work at Northside Atlanta in the Women’s Center since I was 12 years old. Northside Atlanta delivers more babies annually than any other hospital in the United States. Given this statistic, I will get many opportunities to grow in my clinical skills in such a highly sought after position. This has truly been a dream come true! I’m so excited to offer compassionate care to mothers and their newborns!”
