The time has come for our 9th-11th graders to begin the course selection process for the 2024-2025 Academic year.
Thinking about future classes can be both exciting and overwhelming. Please know that Ms. Poss and Mrs. Bowman are available to walk students through each step.
Below is an overview of the scheduling process.
Attached here is some other information that may be of use as students begin this journey. Also, on the portal (“Groups” > “High School” > “Downloads”) you will find a catalog of course offerings. This catalog will provide a description of specific courses, as well as outline any prerequisites.
We are excited to test a new “paperless” registration process. This year, students will be able to view teacher recommendations and request courses directly through the Paladin Portal!
2024-2025 Scheduling - Important Dates:
February 21 - Teacher Recommendations (Grades 10-12)
Teachers make course recommendations for their current students.
February 28 - Recommendations visible to students in the portal
- Students approve or request changes to teachers’ recommendations
- Students add electives
Early March - Scheduling Team Builds Initial Master Course Schedule
March 15 - Verification Form #1 Distributed (Grades 10-12)
- Students will see proposed schedule in the portal
- Students submit change requests
March 22 - Verification Form #2 Distributed
*Students approve final schedule proposals
April - Scheduling Team Finalizes Master Course Schedule
April - Rising 9th Grade Students Complete Placement Tests
Current 8th grade teachers submit course recommendations
May - Rising 9th Grade Students Receive Proposed Schedules
Students and Parents meet with Schedule team to discuss questions
May - Summer Reading Lists, AP Assignments, and Booklist Posted in Portal
June/July - Final Teacher Assignments Posted in Portal
*Please note: Schedules can be adjusted through the first week of classes next year. Changes will be contingent on availability with the finalized master calendar.
