Jimmy O'Day, Class of 2017, has committed to Hendrix College in Conway, Arkansas where he will study International Affairs and play Division III lacrosse. Jimmy has become the first Varsity Boys Lacrosse player to commit to an NCAA program in Pinecrest history.

Jimmy is a three-year starter for the Pinecrest Varsity Boys Lacrosse team and a founding member of the Pinecrest lacrosse program, when he began playing in middle school.

In 2016, Jimmy attended numerous clinics, showcases and a variety of off-season lacrosse opportunities, including Team Paladins and the South Forsyth Indoor box team, all of which he says has helped him achieve this milestone goal.
“I am really excited to coach Jimmy for the next four years, said Hendrix Head Coach Anthony Biondo. "The work ethic he has shown, I will never forget.” Jimmy gives credit to the coaches he has had the pleasure of playing for -- Pinecrest Coach Pat Aiello, Club Coach Billy O’Haire (UGA Men’s Lacrosse Head Coach), Coach Trevor Ward and Coach Sam Lialios -- for developing his love for the game and teaching him not only skills, but life lessons, which will help him succeed at the next level.

Hendrix College is listed Top 10 among institutions “that are making the most innovative improvements in curriculum, faculty, students, campus life, technology, or facilities, according to US News and World Report in 2016.” The Hendrix Warriors play NCAA Division III in the Southern Athletic Association Conference.
