Evelyn Fuentes ’26

Evelyn Fuentes ’26 made a guest artist appearance with the Augusta Symphony for their Symphonic Dances concert on May 9, 2026. She performed the Glazunov Concerto for Alto Saxophone under Maestro Dirk Meyer’s conducting and accompanied by the rest of the orchestra. 

 

At the performance, Evelyn received the award for their 2025 Youth Concerto Competition Winner, for which she was selected to perform with them this past May. 

 

Pinecrest Band Director, Mr. Jason Sneath, and his wife, traveled to Augusta to hear Evelyn perform, and were honored to be in the audience to hear her play.

 

Says Evelyn, “I had the most amazing experience performing with the Augusta Symphony. Being surrounded by so many hardworking and talented professional musicians was beyond inspiring, and I am so grateful to them for the kindness they showed me during that weekend. Performing with Augusta was the best debut I could have asked for, and I hope to perform in a similar capacity very soon.”
