Sarah (Althoff) Stanczak, an alumnus of the first graduating Class of 2007, can now add author to her credentials!
Sarah recently wrote and published a children’s book called Tabbington's Tales: Tabby's Sweet Discovery, described as “a gentle story about understanding diabetes with courage, kindness, and care." Sarah describes this project as near and dear to her heart, and one that was more than a year in the making.
The inspiration for Tabby’s Sweet Discovery came from her own close connection to diabetes and seeing how confusing or even frightening the topic can feel for children and families. She wanted to create a gentle, reassuring story that helps open the door to conversations about health, empathy, and understanding at an early age. Says Sarah, “My hope is that this book — and future titles in the Tabbington’s Tales series — will help make important health topics feel less intimidating and more approachable for kids, parents, and caregivers alike.”
In addition to writing children’s books, Sarah is wife to Matthew Stanczak and mom to a beautiful 18-month-old, Ava Stanczak, and works as a mortgage loan processor.
