Family Life Assistant, Independent Contractor
REPORTS TO
Director of Campus Ministry
Collaborates with: the Campus Ministry team, the PAPA board, the Events coordinator, the Communications director and with the Regnum Christi Local Director and RC and ECYD Section directors.
SUMMARY/OBJECTIVES
The Family Life assistant’s main objective is to support the evangelizing mission of the school with a pastoral program for the whole family by:

Onboarding and building community

Offering integral formation to parents: Parenting, Faith formation, Marriage enrichment

Engaging our parents in carrying out the mission of the school
COMPETENCIES REQUIRED
Education: Bachelors Degree in Theology, Pastoral Studies or other appropriate field
Experience: It is beneficial to have experience in schools for this position as well as to have had considerable contact with the Regnum Christi charism in order to ensure that the spirit with which these tasks are fulfilled are in keeping with the spirit of the school.
Certifications, licenses, or registrations: Safe Environment certificate
Special knowledge, skills or abilities: Ability to form healthy relationships with adolescents and adults, organizational skills, group leadership skills, appreciation and understanding of the liturgy and sacraments.
RESPONSIBILITIES

forming part of the Campus ministry team

Creating and coordinating a Family Life core team
-
Propose an annual plan, calendar and budget for the Family Life programs (list of activities in the organigram attached)

Create and accompany teams for each event and program
-
Share the vision with school administration that each interaction with parents is an opportunity for community building and spiritual formation

Collaborate with PAPA in the formation of the volunteers and room moms.

Possible assistance with faculty training and professional development

community building through attendance of school events and personal visits with families of students and faculty members
-
providing accompaniment to parents and faculty as pertains to this area
-
Regnum Christi liaison: form and accompany the RC-PA team of parents to improve the visibility, communication and engagement of Regnum Christi in Pinecrest.

providing whatever other reasonable services are required by the School and/or requested by the Head of School
TIME COMMITMENT:
Currently the Family Life director is a consecrated woman with a volunteer agreement. The time dedicated for Family Life is about 10-15 hours per week. Other responsibilities limit her time commitment otherwise, the work and presence required to fulfill this mission would be 20 hours per week.
