Coach Taylor Whitenton is the Head Varsity Baseball coach at Pinecrest Academy. He grew up in Georgia, where he played high school baseball at Heritage (Conyers, Ga). In 2007, his team competed in the 4A GHSA State Championship. After graduating from high school, Coach Whitenton was selected by the Atlanta Braves in the 2007 MLB Draft. Coach Whitenton experienced success in professional baseball by earning top prospect titles, league awards, and multiple All-Star game appearances.

He has refocused his love for the game toward helping young players strive after their dreams. Coach Whitenton places a great deal of effort into creating strong coach-player relationships. Helping his players set goals, work toward their goals, and achieve their goals is what motivates Coach Whitenton. Coach Whitenton enjoys teaching History and Psychology at Pinecrest.
