Robin Coulter – Middle School Learning Specialist
Robin Coulter joined Pinecrest Academy in 2014 as a Reading Specialist.
She came to Pinecrest from the Swift School in Roswell, GA, where she taught fifth grade, teaching children with Dyslexia and other speech language related differences. She provided a multi-sensory learning environment and used various teaching techniques to stimulate and engage all students based on their individual learning styles.
As Reading Specialist at Pinecrest, Mrs. Coulter worked with students individually and in small groups on decoding skills, fluency and reading comprehension. Mrs. Coulter also worked closely with classroom teachers and parents to track student progress, set goals, and provide updates on student achievement.
In fall 2018, she became a full-time Learning Specialist at Pinecrest, working with students individually and in small groups to address students’ varying learning styles and needs, providing individualized academic support. Mrs. Coulter teaches students strategies and executive functioning skills to support their individual learning style and work towards academic success and development of self-advocacy skills.
With the debut of our Learning Resources Program, Pinecrest Academy Resource Center (PARC), Mrs. Coulter currently serves as Middle School Learning Specialist.
