Olivia Turner

Congratulations to new graduate, Olivia Turner, who has been awarded the Presidential Scholarship from the University of Alabama (UA). Mr. Andrew Morrison, Regional Recruiter with UA, attended Pinecrest’s Senior Awards Ceremony in May to personally present this very prestigious award to Olivia.
To be eligible for the University of Alabama Presidential Scholarship, a student must have a 33-36 score on the ACT or a 1490-1600 score on the SAT, and at least a 3.5 GPA. Presidential Scholars receive $100,000 over four years ($25,000 per year). And students graduating with remaining scholarship semester(s) may use these monies toward graduate school and/or law school study at UA.

While at Pinecrest, Olivia was a member of the National Honors Society, National Latin Honors Society, English Honors Society, and Math Honors Society. She was also a member of the High Service Honor Roll all four years of high school and recipient of the Gold Service Award for two years.

Olivia will attend the Honors College at the UA, where she will major in Nursing and minor in Mathematics.
