August Athletics Update
Fall Sports are underway. While we are all very excited, please know that we are all being very cautious as well.
Cheerleading
Coach Cooney and the Cheerleaders will begin practice on Monday, August 10th. Registration for Cheerleading is open until August 9th and can be completed through the Sports Registration page. The Varsity Cheerleaders will perform at all of the Varsity Football games and follow the football schedule below. Middle School Cheerleaders will perform at the home Middle School games. Cross Country
Coach Brown and the Varsity Cross Country team will kick off their season with a meet on August 22nd at Westminster, while Coach Hendron and the Middle School team will travel to Horizon Christian. Practice is already underway, but it is not too late to join the team. Registration will remain open until August 7th. Fencing
We are pleased to announce that Coach Kathy Vail will be joining Coach Lee Anderson as our Assistant Fencing Instructor. Coach Vail is the Head Coach and owner of Dunwoody Fencing Club. To see Coach Vail’s full bio, click HERE. Coach Vail brings phenomenal experience to our team, and in the words of our own previous coach, Dr. Chad Morris, “She is awesome. She is the person who taught me to coach, and I still work with her. She has great results both in high school and nationally, helping students excel and continue fencing in college.” Coach Anderson and Coach Vail are hoping to welcome new fencers to the team. Practice is scheduled to begin on August 18th. If you are interested in joining our fencing team or learning more about this growing sport, please contact Coach Anderson at fencing@pinecrestacademy.org. Registration is open until August 17th. We will publish the fencing schedule soon.
Football
Your Varsity and Middle School Football teams are working hard preparing for their 2020 schedules. The boys are looking good and excited about the season. Volleyball

Winter Sports Registration

Athletics Hall of Fame Update
While we usually hold our annual Hall of Fame induction in the Fall surrounding Homecoming, we have decided to delay the ceremony until the Spring. This decision was made based on the current COVID-19 restrictions. We want to be able to celebrate our inductees properly and invite the community to honor these individuals properly. We do not feel that is possible this Fall. Please keep your eyes open for updates regarding the Spring ceremony.
