From the Clinic: Important Update on Coronavirus

Pinecrest Academy is closely monitoring the status of COVID-19, also known as the coronavirus.
During a press conference the last week in February, the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) indicated the following: “For the general American public, who are unlikely to be exposed to this virus at this time, the immediate health risk from COVID-19 is considered low.” This said, Pinecrest Academy is following the CDC recommendations to prevent the spread of infection.

With Spring Break quickly approaching, Pinecrest Academy strongly encourages families, especially our international students to follow the CDC’s guidelines for travel.  Information pertaining to travel can be found through this link.

Please notify the school if a student or a family member has recently been or will be in China or South Korea, as these countries are on the CDC’s Warning Level 3 traveler’s list. In the event the COVID-19 becomes an active concern in Georgia, Pinecrest Academy will follow the guidance of the CDC, the Georgia Department of Public Health (DPH), and the Forsyth County School Board. More information regarding COVID-19 can be found through the following link.

PLEASE NOTE: We are preparing our teachers to continue instruction due to any potential school closings. Teachers are being trained in ways we can continue instruction by use of the Paladin Portal. More information will be communicated to parents later this week.
Thank you for your cooperation and support in keeping our students and school community healthy and safe.
