Annual Night of the Roasting Pigs – April 27

The annual Night of the Roasting Pigs is on Saturday, April 27, beginning at 5pm.

According to the "Flying Pigs Society," the Pig Roast is an over age 21, manly-man event, for ALL Pinecrest dads and their friends. It kicks off at 5pm with a Mass in Our Lady of Guadelupe Chapel. The pig roasting teams then head to the football field parking lot for an evening of roasting, toasting, and boasting about your manly-man, meat cooking abilities. Your inner swine will shine while you enjoy the company of the other dads, while having beverages and playing games like football or soccer or other feats of manliness.

Pig Roast Q & A

How do I participate?
You gather a group of friends and cook a pig, boar, lamb, gator or any type of meat you particularly enjoy. You can grill out and share food that evening with the other participants or you can go Whole Hog and roast a pig to be shared at the Family PigNic on Sunday.

Do I have to cook to come?
NO. You can still get your pig groove on by attending the event and getting to know the other dads.

Is this an overnight event?
Yes and No. It is an overnight event if you are manly enough to handle it. Otherwise, you stay until you have had all of the fun you can handle for the night.

Do I need money to attend?
YES. This is a fundraiser for athletics. You will need money to purchase a t-shirt and cigar when you arrive. Typically around $20-$25. Larger donation amounts are encouraged.

What can I bring to help?
You can bring things that other participants will enjoy and will help you make friends. Have an awesome bourbon? Have a portable arcade game? Have some fun tailgate games? All of these things will draw others to you and help you make some fine swine friends.

Who do I contact to get a pig or ask questions?
The Head Hog is Bill Brown. You can contact him at mrwcbrown@att.net.
