Catholic Schools Week at Pinecrest Academy

National Catholic Schools Week is the annual celebration of Catholic education in the United States, and began in 1974.
It starts the last Sunday in January each year and runs all week, which in 2019 is January 27 - February 2. Schools typically observe the annual celebration week with events that focus on the value Catholic education provides to young people and its contributions to our church, our communities, and our nation.

At Pinecrest Academy, we are proud to be a Catholic School and we celebrate Catholic Schools Week each year with a variety of activities for our students, showing appreciation for our school. Our 2019 theme is: “100 Reasons Why We Love Pinecrest!” We are engaging our entire community in asking why they love Pinecrest and how they show their love.

Students in our Lower, Middle and High Schools are taking part in activities that include:

  • Eucharistic Processions
  • Door decorating and banner contests (LS and MS)
  • Spirit days & pep rallies
  • Archdiocese Mass with Catholic Schools (8th grade)

Festivities conclude with an All School Mass on Friday, February 1, 2019.
