Swim Teams Take First and Qualify Swimmers for State

A big shout out to the Middle School Swim Team, which came in First Place overall in the Ahoy Me Hearties Swim Meet on Friday, January 11!

 

At the 2019 GHSA State Swim Meet, Pinecrest’s Varsity Swim team will be bringing its biggest group ever, with more State Qualifying events than ever before!

 

Congratulations to the Swim Team State Qualifiers, as of this week:

 

Anthony Birozes: 50 Free and 100 Free

Mason Carter: 50 Free

200 Men's Medley Relay: Spillane, Borgerding, Birozes, Carter

200 Men's Free Relay: Spillane, Borgerding, Perez, Birozes

200 Women's Free Relay: Petros, Adams, Meersman, Persichetti

400 Men's Free Relay: Perez, Spillane, Carter, Birozes (NEW SCHOOL RECORD!)

 

The Varsity Swim Team dedicated this meet for the recovery and health of Matt Farkas, a former Pinecrest student who graduated in 2011 and who had open heart surgery on Friday, January 11.
