Class of 2018 Receives Nearly $6 Million in Scholarships

Pinecrest Academy graduated its 69 members of the Class of 2018 on May 19, 2018, in the school’s Upper School Gym, with hundreds in attendance.
The evening prior, a Baccalaureate Mass was celebrated for the graduates, their families, friends and faculty/staff. Three of Pinecrest’s priests, Fr. David, Steffy, LC, Fr. Matthew Kaderabek, LC, and Fr. Daren Weisbrod, LC, concelebrated the Mass.
 
The Class of 2018 received nearly $6 million in scholarship awards from 35 colleges and universities, with total acceptances from 80 colleges and universities across the country.

Thirty-two graduates are Zell Millar Scholars, and all 69 graduates are HOPE Scholars.

The Valedictorians for the Class of 2018 were Regina Metz and Michael Trainor. The Salutatorians were Rita Rojas Perez and Nolan Stafford.
 
Two students – Regina Metz and Sam Adams - are deferring college acceptances to give a year of service to the Church and missionary work, and one student, Nando Holdsworth, is enlisting in the Army Cadet program at North Georgia College.
