More Than 150 Attend Pinecrest Rosary Rally

Sports Leader, a virtue-based leadership organization in partnership with Pinecrest Academy, has a tradition each sports season to conduct a Rosary Rally in honor of the season’s coaches, players, teams, and parents. These rallies provide a beautiful opportunity for all to gather and pray the rosary together as a group, as seasons kickoff.

More than 120 athletes and over 30 parents and school staff attended Pinecrest’s first Rosary Rally on our own campus, in Our Lady of Guadalupe Chapel. Baseball, Lacrosse, Tennis, Golf, and Soccer teams were all represented.

High School Chaplain, Father Daren, created a moving ceremony, featuring a candle procession and readings by select team captains, representing all of the boys’ and girls’ teams. Prayer intentions were offered specifically for coaches, parents, players, teams, and fans of all sports. In addition, a basket of special intentions, submitted by the athletes, was brought to the Altar.

Special thanks goes to Miss Kathleen Nichols for her presentation that focused athletes’ attention on the significance of specific stain glassed windows in the Chapel, which face the athletic complex. She explained the formation ideals set forth for our school, and most importantly, for each of our athletes who wear the Paladin crest.

The Rosary Rally was capped off by all participants partaking in Krispy Kreme Donuts and coffee, through the generosity of Mrs. Paige Brown, and Mrs. Kasselin's Regnum Christi Team, which includes Barbara Conticelli, Margaret Frain, Anne Holdsworth, Patrice Pittman.
