Three Pinecrest Wrestlers Medal at GHSA Tournament to Close Out Historic Season

We’re raising the Bar in PA Wrestling! Congratulations to Jimmy Dinsmore and Nick Miller, both juniors, and Joe Metz, Sophomore, who traveled to Macon, GA on Friday and Saturday, February 9-10, to participate in the GHSA State Wrestling Meet.

To compete in the GHSA competition you must place in the top four in the area and sectional competitions leading up to the State Tournament.  The competition at the State Tournament against fellow region 1A teams was fierce, but all three of our wrestlers gave their best efforts, exhibiting the SportsLeader virtue of the week, “Valor.”

Pinecrest took three wrestlers, and all survived Friday, ready to compete in the medal rounds on Saturday.  And here are the results:

Jimmy Dinsmore - 6th Place for 138lb
Nick Miller - 4th Place for 152lb
Joe Metz - 2nd Place for 132lb

A special thank you to Bob Holdsworth with SportsLeader, for coming to Macon and supporting our young men. And congratulations to the 2017-2018 Pinecrest Wrestling team that prepared these young men for competition.  A big shout out to Coaches Mark Schmidt, Jae Cha, Mike Miller, and Pat Metz.

Young men interested in wresting are invited to check into Pinecrest’s Wrestling camp, as part of our Summer Camps program. Be a part of something bigger than yourself!
