Kathleen Nichols, Formation Director
Kathleen Nichols grew up in Wyoming and is an outdoors enthusiast. In 1993 she consecrated her life to God in Regnum Christi after completing a B.S. in Biochemistry at the University of Wyoming the year before.
She later earned a degree in Religious Studies from the Regina Apostolorum in Rome, and another in Education and Development from the Anahuac University in Mexico. Kathleen furthered her theology studies earning an M.T.S. at the University of Dallas, followed by a master’s degree in Catholic School Leadership also from U.D.
Kathleen comes to Pinecrest after having most recently served as Director of Oakhill School - Recoleta, in Buenos Aires, Argentina, while also working as Assistant to the Head of School at Oakhill - Nunez. Her international experience in education also includes several years as Assistant Director at the Highlands School in Rome, working in admissions and parent formation at Everest Academy and The Highlands School Encinar, both in Madrid, and later in the same role at The Cumbres School in Valencia. She has also been a professor of Theology, Pedagogy, Bioethics, Social Ethics and Public Speaking in Spain, Italy and Argentina.
In the U.S., Kathleen worked as Assistant Head of School at The Donnellan School in Atlanta from 2000-2003, was part of the youth formation team at the Highlands School in Dallas in the 90’s, and was part of the formation team and a teacher for middle school girls at Overbrook Academy in Connecticut.
