Dr. Ed Lindekugel, Headmaster
Dr. Ed Lindekugel was born in Silver Spring, Maryland and grew up in suburban Washington D.C..
He spent many childhood summers with his mother’s family in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Ed earned a B.A. in History from the University of Maryland in 1991, and completed his M.B.A. at Maryland in 1993. After working as Director of a telecommunications consulting firm for several years, he followed a call to education in 1997, leaving the business world behind.
In 2000 Ed earned an M.A.T. from Johns Hopkins University and over the next few years taught in several Catholic schools at the middle and high school levels. In addition, he has served in a variety of administrative roles at both Archdiocesan and independent Catholic schools. Ed completed a Doctorate in Educational Leadership at Georgia State University in May of 2015.
Ed's greatest joys in life are his wife and three boys. He is a fitness enthusiast, and enjoys playing trombone in community bands. Ed came to Pinecrest in 2008 and has served in many leadership roles such as the Academic Dean of the Middle School, Vice Principal, High School Principal, and Upper School Principal. Starting in 2016, Ed serves Pinecrest as Headmaster.
