Pinecrest Academy to Open for In-Person Instruction

Pinecrest Academy is pleased to announce that our campus will be open for in-person instruction on August 6, 2020.
Our 22-member COVID-19 Task Force, which includes a member of the National Coronavirus Recovery Commission, has worked with us to craft a plan which follows CDC guidelines, and local and State regulations. This plan considers data pertaining to children, specifically, the downward trend in the number of cases and hospitalizations from COVID-19, and the fact that children are not likely spreading the virus. We also are examining data specific to our geographic area as it relates to COVID19.

Safety protocol is being implemented to protect students, faculty, staff, and families. In most cases, desks can be spaced 6-feet apart, frequent handwashing and use of hand sanitizers will be expected, and the use of masks may be recommended in certain situations. Safety protocol is in place, should a case of COVID-19 be diagnosed. Our Task Force will continue to monitor the fluid COVID-19 data and the Governor’s directives to ensure the best plans are in place for our return to campus for the 2020-2021 school year.
