Get to Know Mr. Lenny Forti, Lower School Principal

Who was your favorite teacher and how did he or she inspire you?
Mrs. Flynn, my fourth grade teacher. She was supportive and believed in my abilities.

Why did you choose education as a career, and how many years have you been in education?
I came from a family of educators. My dad was a teacher, my mother was a PTA president, and my two older sisters were teachers and school administrators. I've worked in education for over 30 years.
 
What is the number one reason you came to Pinecrest Academy?
I ended my career in public schools and now have the opportunity to educate the whole child and assist in the formation of Christian leaders.
 
How would you describe your leadership style?
Supportive, engaging, cultivating school leaders, building trust and respect 
 
Can you tell us a little bit about your family? 
My wife is a fifth grade teacher. My oldest daughter is a speech pathologist, and my younger daughter is a middle school paraprofessional.
 
What is your favorite book?
James Patterson, Lee Child and Vince Flynn books
 
What is your favorite movie?
Rudy
 
What would people be surprised to know about you?
I ran two marathons in under three hours, enjoy reading, traveling, and playing golf. We have a chocolate lab named Hershey.
