Joan McCabe, Vice-President of Finance/CFO
Mrs. McCabe earned her bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey and her master’s degree in Health Services Administration from Florida International University.
She holds a certification in School Finance and Operations from the Association of School Business Officials International.
In 1986, Mrs. McCabe began her career working for Hess Oil where she was responsible for the financial reporting of crude and refined products for the east coast of the United States and the Caribbean.
In 1990, Mrs. McCabe relocated to south Florida where her career focus changed to non-profit. For just under fifteen years, she worked in various capacities of accounting, finance, strategic planning and hospital administration for the North Broward Hospital District in Fort Lauderdale. From a financial perspective, she designed and implemented the cost accounting system and coordinated the development of the annual budget. From a strategic and administrative perspective, she was instrumental in the planning, design and construction of several projects implemented to improve access to health care and was recognized by the International Society of Facilities Executives for her inclusive approach to project planning resulting in an efficient and cost effective design.
In 2006, the McCabe family relocated to Suwanee specifically for their children to attend Pinecrest Academy. Mrs. McCabe and her husband Matt have two children, Kristina and Sean.
