  • Varsity Tennis Hosts Family Fun Day

    Our Varsity Tennis Team hosted a Family Fun Day on Monday!  Ms. McGraw, PA Tennis Coach, welcomed team members, family, and friends of all levels to play some tennis and enjoy fellowship with each other.

    This event is typically an end-of-season tradition, but the team has so much fun, they want to hold these events more often!

  • Fall Sports are Just Around the Corner – Important Information

    Our fall sports seasons are about to begin!  Here is important information you need to know:
    • We would love to get everyone involved in our sports programs. If your child is interested in joining football, cheer, volleyball, cross country, fencing, or middle school tennis, register HERE.
    • Registration Fees Due - Fall Sports payments are due by July 30. For those who have registered and postponed payment, please log in to your Team Snap account and process your payment. 
    • Team Pictures - Fall Sports Pictures are on Saturday, August 7. Football, cheer, and cross country will be taken on the field. Volleyball and fencing will be taken in the Gym. Specific times will be sent out by coached over the next week or so. You can also find your time on Team Snap next week.
    • Medical forms in MAGNUS - Every Fall athlete must have a valid physical, a sudden cardiac arrest form, and a concussion awareness form uploaded to MAGNUS before August 2. Please upload your forms to avoid having to sit out of practice. 
    • Football Managers & Film Crew - Football is looking for students to serve as managers and the game day film crew. If you are interested, please contact scoury@pinecrestacademy.org.

  • Ivey Crain Selected for All-State Team

    Pinecrest Academy rising senior soccer player, Ivey Crain, is a United Soccer Coaches selection for the Georgia High School All-State team. This is the second year in a row Ivey has been selected!
     
    Ivey and the Lady Paladins Soccer team enjoyed a spectacular 2021 season, becoming Class 1A Private Runners-up in the State Championship.

  • Junior Paladin Fall Soccer Registration - Closes July 18

    Just a quick reminder that Junior Paladin Fall Soccer registration is open! Anyone with a child in PreK4-5th grade who is interested in playing Fall Soccer can register on TeamSnap using the link below.
     
    Teams will be composed of Pinecrest students and will compete in the United Futbol Academy (UFA) recreation league. Registration closes July 18.
     
    Additionally, we will be offering Winter Recreational Basketball (November-January) and Spring Soccer (February-April) this year. Registration for those seasons will open at a later date.

  • Varsity Boys Basketball - Jay Lynch

    Coach Lynch has been on the sidelines at Pinecrest Academy since 2004. He currently serves as the Head Coach of the Varsity Boys Basketball Team. Prior to joining Pinecrest, he served as an Assistant Men’s Basketball Coach at the University of Dallas where he was also recognized as an Academic All-American basketball player in 1997 and 1998.
  • Varsity Girls Basketball - Jonathan Oshinski

    Jonathan Oshinski is a Pinecrest alumnus (Class of 2010) and currently serves as the Varsity Girls Basketball Head Coach and Middle School Baseball Coach. As a student, he played four years of varsity basketball and baseball and received a number of accolades in both sports. After graduating from Pinecrest, Oshinski attended The University of Georgia and earned his Bachelor’s degree in Health and Physical Education. In addition to his studies, Oshinski served as a team manager for the UGA women’s basketball team and Hall of Fame coach, Andy Landers, from 2013-2015. In the fall of 2015, he began working as an assistant coach for the Varsity and JV Girls Basketball teams at Oconee County High School.

    Upon returning to Pinecrest in 2016, he coached the 7th grade boys’ basketball team to win the Metro-10 Championship. In 2017, he coached both the 7th and 8th grade boys’ teams and reached the championship game again with the 8th grade boys. Oshinski also coaches middle school baseball and has a Master of Science degree in Kinesiology with an emphasis in Coaching Education from Georgia Southern University.
  • Varsity Swim & Dive - Denise Jordan

    Denise Jordan has over 35 years of swimming and soccer coaching experience. After playing soccer in college and for the Georgia Women's Soccer Association, she began teaching and coaching. She coached soccer at St. Pius X Catholic High School and Wesleyan, and started the Swim program at Wesleyan. Upon her arrival at Pinecrest, she started the Swim program here.

    Coach Jordan has also coached summer swimming at Briarcliff Woods Beach Club, Nottaway, Embry Hills, Fieldstone, and Ansley Golf Club, where her team was Country Club Swim Team Champion during the years 1989-2000.

    Coach Jordan received the Atlanta Swimming Association Coach of the Year award in 2016, and several Pinecrest alumni she coached went on to swim in college. She also teaches Middle School English and has a son named Nicholas.
  • Wrestling - Shawn Coury

    Coach Coury has served 23 seasons as a high school football coach, coaching teams from South Forsyth High School, West Forsyth High School, Cherokee High School, Holy Spirit Preparatory School, and Pinecrest Academy. His roles have included head coach, offensive coordinator, run game coordinator, offensive line coach, running backs coach, wide receivers coach, and quarterbacks coach.

    Coury’s coaching experience doesn’t end with football. He has enjoyed 18 seasons as a high school track coach for South Forsyth High School, Cherokee High School, and Pinecrest Academy. Fifteen of those seasons were spent serving as head coach.

    A nationally certified strength and conditioning coach, Coury spent 13 years as a Strength and Conditioning Coach at West Forsyth High School, Cherokee High School, Holy Spirit Preparatory School, and Pinecrest Academy.
