  • Mark Doxtader, Chairman of the Board

    Owner, Carton Craft Supply, Inc. and Impact Alliance, LLC • Member of the President’s Council. Mark received a business degree from Spring Hill College.

    Mark and his wife Angie have been long and active members of the Pinecrest community. In the twenty years they have been affiliated with the school, they have served as both presidents and vice presidents of the Parents Association. They have spearheaded volunteer work days to beautify the campus and are ever present at Pinecrest events serving wherever they are needed. The oldest of their four children, Maggie, is a 2011 graduate of Pinecrest Academy and Cole is a 2014 graduate. Their other children, Anne Marie and Mia, are currently enrolled in Pinecrest. The Doxtaders attend St. Benedict’s Catholic Church.
  • Eduardo Arribasplata

    Owner, Blue Ventures LLC. Previously, Eduardo has held various executive positions in the apparel, mining, and service industries both in the US and overseas. He graduated from Mercer University with a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering.

    Eduardo and his wife, Sylvia, have five children. Eddie, the oldest, graduated from Pinecrest in 2012. Sarah, Nicholas, and Angelina are graduating from Pinecrest in 2018, 2020, and 2026 respectively. Christopher, the youngest, will join Pinecrest in 2021. The Arribasplatas are parishioners at St. Brendan’s Catholic Church.
  • Mary Ashenfelter

    Director of Development, Legion of Christ and Assistant Director, Regnum Christi Atlanta. Previously, Mary lead strategic and operational teams at Kaiser Permanente for 16 years and founded and consulted to several real estate holding companies. She has over 30 years experience providing strategic, operational, financial and marketing leadership. Mary has an MBA from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania and a BS in Business Administration from Bucknell University.

    Mary and her husband, Jim, have two adult daughters who attended Catholic schools in Atlanta. The Ashenfelters are members of St. Stephen the Martyr Catholic Church in Lilburn.
  • Lori Chmura

    Lori is a seasoned veteran in the healthcare space beginning her career as a CCRN working in critical care, trauma and emergency medicine at Yale New Haven Hospital, Emory University Hospital and St Joseph’s of Atlanta. She transitioned into the medical device industry as a Clinical Specialist with Datascope, now Maquet, and with a track record of success took on increasing levels of leadership completing her 10 year tenure as the Vice President of North American Sales. She spent time as a regional Corporate Sales Director for Medtronic and then moved over to Covidien Endo mechanical where she spent 4 years as the VP of Sales and Marketing. Prior to her current role she served as the VP of the US for Cordis, a Johnson and Johnson company. Today she leads Dune Medical Devices as the CEO. Lori is known as a champion of change management. She has led numerous Women’s leadership imperatives and currently serves as the President-elect on the Atlanta Chapter board for the Healthcare Businesswomen’s Association. She holds a BSN from Southern Ct State University.

    Lori and her husband Steve have two children, both of whom attended and graduated from Pinecrest Academy. Lori is passionate about mentoring young adults and co-led the annual March for Life trip to Washington DC for many years while her children attended Pinecrest. She has served in numerous volunteer capacities throughout her tenure. Members at St Benedict Catholic Church for the past 25 years, Lori has been active in the parish serving as a Eucharistic minister, sacristan, and lector.
  • Alex Munoz

    Alex Muñoz is an Atlanta native. He graduated from Georgia Tech with a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Management. He went on to receive a Master’s degree in Information Systems from George Washington University. After a 15-year career in manufacturing and financial services, Alex broadened his experience by working in diverse industries ranging from health information management to the non-profit sector. He was instrumental in the turn-around of a public company which recently sold for $300MM. Alex serves as a mentor in the Catholic Charities Leadership Program as well as the Georgia Tech MentorJackets program. He is President Emeritus of the Georgia Tech Intown Alumni Network and an event sponsor for the George Washington University Alumni Association Atlanta Club. He currently serves on the board of the Lifecycle Building Center, a nonprofit Atlanta-area resource for material disposal and discounted building materials. He and his wife María are active members of the Cathedral of Christ the King in Atlanta and are the parents of five children ranging in age from adolescent to young adult, all of whom attended Pinecrest.
  • Ken Nelson

    20+ years of success in global sales and marketing leadership roles across the education technology marketplace. Ken has been working with public and private schools around the world to empower teachers with tools and training targeted at inspiring rising scholars in both K-12 and HiEd.

    Ken and his wife Karen have three kids – two in college and son Jackson who has been at Pinecrest since PK-3 and is in the class of 2028. The Nelson’s are members of St Brendans Catholic Church.
  • Father Lino Otero, LC

    Former Leadership Consultant at Catholic Leadership Institute, Fr. Lino has been been involved in leadership development since 2009. As pastor of a parish in Yonkers, New York, he was chosen to participate in the first Learning Community of Parish Catalyst, an organization dedicated to leveraging vibrant parishes in North America.  

    For two years Fr. Lino was the Territorial Administrator (CFO) of the Legion of Christ and the Regnum Christi Movement in North America. Today he is the superior of his community of Legionary priests, Section Director to Regnum Christi men in Atlanta and chaplain to a non-profit organization called to bring God to the workforce called His Way at Work.
    His training has included acquiring degrees in Business Administration, Philosophy and Theology.  He has been a school teacher, a school administrator and a youth leader. He has been the pastor of two parishes and done parish ministry for over 17 years.  He also started a radio station and a school coop.
  • Steve Soukup

    With 20+ years of success in progressive sales leadership roles at early stage, PE owned, and large global market-leading brands in the competitive B2B technology solutions marketplace, Steve is Chief Revenue Officer at DefenseStorm, a cyber-security and cyber-complance company whose mission is to help community banks and credit unions be secure and compliant.

    Steve and his wife Ginger have been part of the Pinecrest community since 2015. Both are proud graduates of Boston College. All 4 of their children currently attend Pinecrest. Twin sons Tom and Charlie are members of the class of 2021, son Michael is in the class of 2022 and their youngest, daughter Maggie, is in the class of 2024. The Soukups have been members of St. Benedict's Catholic Church since moving to the Atlanta area from Northeast Ohio in 2012.
  • Tan Tam

    Senior Financial Executives with over 20 years of experience • Held several executive roles at Lund International, Miller Zell, Inc. and Carter & Associates, Morgan Stanley and Ernst & Young • Tan received a Bachelor of Accounting from Georgia State University and is a State of Georgia Certified Public Accountant.

    Tan and his wife Celeste have one child at Pinecrest, Ethan. Tan and Celeste have been active with the Pinecrest community since Ethan became a student in 2013 through various volunteering roles. Tan enjoys coaching youth soccer for Pinecrest UFA leagues. The Tams are parishioners at St. Benedict Catholic Church.
  • Father Matthew VanSmoorenburg, LC

    Since 2012 Father Matthew has served as the pastor of St. Brendan the Navigator Catholic Church in Cumming, GA. Under his guidance there, the church has experienced tremendous growth in attendance sufficient to require execution of a complete renovation and expansion of the existing church structures. Currently home to 3,800 families of diverse ethnic and economic backgrounds, upon completion of this build-out, it is estimated St. Brendan’s will be one of the largest parishes in Georgia.

    Ordained a priest in 1994, Father Matthew has since served in a variety of vocational, educational and spiritual roles throughout the United States including leading youth programs with ECYD, acting as chaplain for a college and a primary school, guiding adult education programs such as FAMILIA, leading retreats and directing vocational programs. For the past three years he has served on the Regnum Christi Territorial Council and the North American Legion of Christ Council helping Fr. John Conner, LC.

    Father Matthew holds degrees in Electrical Engineering, philosophy and theology. In his spare time, he enjoys sports, gardening and the outdoors.

    Chief Financial Officer, Norsan Group. 25 years of management experience including Chief Operating Officer for Norsan • Head of e-Business and Consumer Dialogue for British American Tobacco • Director of Professional Services for MicroStrategy Consulting and other management positions at Kellogg’s, Procter & Gamble, BBVA, CEMEX & Heineken.

    Alfonso & his wife Monica have been members of the Pinecrest Community for 10 years, serving wherever they are needed. Their older son, Alfonso, graduated in 2015 and their other 3 children, Estefi, Jesus and Juan Pablo currently attend Pinecrest. The Villarreals attend St. Brendan’s Catholic Church where Alfonso serves at the Pastoral Council.
