There are many opportunities for parents to receive sacraments and find places for prayer.

Daily Mass - Celebration of the Eucharist
7:00 a.m. Mass in Our Lady of Guadalupe Chapel

As the "source and summit of the Christian life," the Celebration of the Eucharist is a central part of school life at Pinecrest Academy. Celebration of the Eucharist is offered daily at 7:00 am in Our Lady of Guadalupe Chapel. All parents and students are invited and encouraged to attend. For all-school Masses which are held on First Fridays, feast days, and other special occasions, please check the schedule.  Mass will begin at 8:10 a.m. or 9:10 a.m. either in Our Lady of Guadalupe Chapel or the Gym.  Call the front office to confirm the schedule. Mass intentions can also be scheduled through the front office.

The Rosary
7:35 a.m. in Our Lady of Guadalupe Chapel

Following the 7:00 a.m. Mass each morning, parents are invited to join in the rosary being prayed for special intentions. Special Intentions can be submitted to the front office.

Sacrament of Reconciliation
7:35 a.m. daily as Chaplain is available or by appointment

The sacrament of Reconciliation frees us from the guilt and burden of our sins and offers sanctifying grace, thus deepening our relationship with Christ. The sacrament is highly encouraged and is formally available to students and parents who have received their First Reconciliation.

Visits to the Chapel

The Blessed Sacrament is reserved in each of the school's chapels: Our Lady of Guadalupe Chapel, Lower School Building F, Donoghue Building, and Gannon Building. When entered into earnestly, adoration of the Blessed Sacrament will help to build a prayerful and ever-deepening relationship with Christ. For this reason, and because the Church strongly recommends her members to make these visits, feel free to visit the chapel during the course of the school day.

Daily Communion Service
(Check with the front office for the daily schedule for each of the schools)

While a communion service does not replace the celebration of the Eucharist, it is an opportunity for students to come together in prayer, listen to the Word of God, and share communion. For parents and students who are unable to attend Mass, the chaplain offers Daily Communion Service throughout the morning. These services are open to anyone who has made their First Communion.

Nocturnal Adoration

Catholic doctrine teaches us that Christ is truly and fully present in the Eucharist that is reserved in the tabernacle. This provides a unique opportunity to spend time in His presence in peace and solitude. Students and parents have the opportunity to visit Christ in Our Lady of Guadalupe Chapel for 24-hour Nocuturnal Adoration each Thursday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 7:00 a.m. Pinecrest parents, faculty, staff, and students serve as guardians.

Feast Days and Holy Days of Obligation

Pinecrest Academy pays special attention to the various liturgical seasons within the Church, such as Advent, Christmas, Lent, Holy Week, and Easter. The special events at the school aim to continually nurture the school community's love for the Christ and his Church.

The school celebrates liturgical feast days such as All Saint's Day (November 1), Feast of Christ the King (November), the anniversary of the pope's election, and the major Marian feast days. Specific details on feast day celebrations are sent home in advance. Parents and students are encouraged to take an active part in living the liturgical year with the Church through the activities and celebrations organized by the school.
