Anne Marie Doxtader '19 to Serve as a FOCUS Missionary

Anne Marie Doxtader ’19 has committed to giving two years to the Fellowship of Catholic University Students, or FOCUS, beginning in August 2023. FOCUS is a Catholic outreach program for college students founded in 1997 by Curtis Martin and Dr. Edward Sri at Benedictine College.

FOCUS exists to evangelize. The mission statement is to "Know Christ Jesus and fulfill His great commission." FOCUS trains recent college graduates in the teachings of the Catholic Church, Scripture and practical aspects of ministry, and sends them out typically in teams of four to serve on college campuses.

FOCUS is on over 200 campuses in 41 states and has a presence at several universities abroad.

Anne Marie will be serving at the University of Kentucky.  She says, “We are living in a time where people are frantically trying to find purpose and satisfy a deep longing in their hearts.” Even during her own college journey, she found herself searching for her identity and purpose through worldly affirmation.  But she allowed herself to fall back on Jesus, where she found true joy and purpose.

As a missionary, Anne Marie’s deepest desire is to bring every searching soul she encounters to Jesus Christ.  Learn more about why Anne Marie is serving with FOCUS here.
