As with other private schools, the cost of educating each student at Pinecrest is much greater than the tuition revenue covers.  Campus development and improvements are also not covered by tuition.  The Pinecrest Fund helps to fill the gap between tuition receipts and the actual cost of operating the school.  A Capital Campaign is initiated from time to time to further develop the campus master plan and provide other capital improvements.

In order to limit tuition increases while continuing to improve the quality of our educational programs; parents, grandparents, and friends are asked to contribute as generously as they can to the school's fundraising activities.  Pinecrest relies on every family to participate. The two main annual operational fundraisers are the Pinecrest Fund and the annual Gala Benefit Auction.

There are other fundraising events and activities approved by the school's administration, organized by the parents' association, athletic club, or student council, in which parents will be asked to participate. The proceeds from these events fund the operation of specific clubs, events, or items not otherwise allocated in the budget. Some of these initiatives are summarized below.
